Each member of our Personal Training Team holds at least one Nationally recognized Certification and has training or holds a degree in the Exercise Science/Human Movement Discipline. Each Team Member is required to obtain Continuing Education Credits each year, so you are guaranteed to work with the best the industry has to offer!
Bobby Sorensen (Fitness Director)
Bobby graduated from the University of Washington and holds a NESTA-CPT certification. He is an avid runner, has coached both middle school and high school cross country and track programs, and loves endurance sports. Bobby specializes in cardio-strength training, helping his clients "dig deeper." He came to CAC in 2010. In his spare time, he enjoys running, basketball, swimming, and cycling. Brittney graduated from University of Idaho with a B.S. in Sports Science. She worked as a Physical Therapy assistant before coming to Columbia Athletic Clubs. She is currently working toward her NSCA certification as a Strength and Conditioning coach. She specializes in speed and agility training but can adapt to any client’s needs. She is an avid soccer player and coach. Brittney played for the University of Idaho on a soccer scholarship and continues to play both indoor and outdoor soccer. She is the head coach at Edmonds Community College. Her passion for soccer, fitness, physical training and overall healthy lifestyle keeps her motivated to share it with others. Chrissy earned her B.S. in Marketing from Gonzaga University. She holds a personal training certification from NASM and joined CAC's fitness team in April of 2008. Chrissy has always been passionate about running and fitness in general and loves working with clients of all ages and fitness levels. She also joined the group exercise team in 2009 and has since been active in teaching Group Ride and Group Core classes. When she is not teaching classes or training clients she enjoys running half marathons and road biking in the summer. Jordan holds an ACSM CPT certification and is currently pursuing his associates degree as a fitness specialist at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland. Jordan is the athletic director and head of the boys basketball program for the Lynnwood Youth Sports Association. He specializes in speed and agility training with all his athletes. Jordan feels everybody is an athlete at different levels whether your sport is mixed martial arts or getting out of bed in the morning. Ryan holds a NCSF certification and is currently pursuing a business degree in Sports Management. He has been training since 2011 and has even worked with several collegiate athletes as well as professional body builders. Throughout his life, Ryan has played multiple sports, and has over 15 years experience lifting in the gym. He specializes in athletic strength training, and in his spare time likes to stay competitive playing football and basketball with his friends and always enjoys spending time with good company. Lindsay holds an ACSM - Health and Fitness Specialist certification. She specializes in weight loss programs, as well as getting her clients to commit to a lifestyle of healthy eating and consistent exercise. Lindsay has been personal training for CAC since 2009. She also enjoys making people sweat in her Thursday night Bootcamp class. Some of Lindsay's favorite things to do are snowboarding, horseback riding, camping and researching nutrition, organic gardening and soap making! Buffy Linnell (Personal Trainer) ACSM-HFS Certification. Exercise Specialist Degree from Lake WA Technical College. Employed with CAC full time since 2003, as a Personal Trainer. And was a cycle instructor at the Mill Creek CAC for about 5 years before coming to the Silver Lake Club. Buffy is an avid runner and triathlete, completing 2 full Iron Mans and more triathlons and road races than she can count. In her spare time she enjoys spending time at her second home in E. Linzy graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.S. in Fitness and Wellness and is ACSM HFS certified. She started training in 2004 and loves creating fun and enjoyable workouts for all her clients. Linzy has experience with and enjoys working with all ages and fitness levels, specializing in weight loss, post Physical Therapy, prenatal and postpartum. She has been active most of her life dancing, running, and cross country skiing. In her free time she loves being active and spending time with her family. Ben has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2002. He started out managing a gym in Oak Harbor where he specialized in weight loss management and training people to pass military PT tests. After four years in the military, stationed in Germany, he moved back to the northwest getting his ACE certification as well as the AFPA Nutrition and Wellness certification. With over 10,000 hours experience in one-on-one training, Ben's drive and straightline approach to fitness are pillars in creating a better you. Some of Ben's hobbies include researching workout techniques, spending time with friends and family, and playing football and golf.
